Respite

Respite care is available for people with HIV/AIDS, in two places:

24 hour care 7 days per week 

The unit cares for both male and female clients. Patients must be referred by their own hospital/ clinic.

Ward 3, (Ronan Ward) was opened in 1990. The unit has 17 beds and offers respite and long-term care for people who are HIV positive. 
The aim of the unit is to ensure a peaceful and restful environment for the clients. Clients have access to medical and psychiatric care and round the clock nursing care. Vortex healing, aromatherapy and physiotherapy are available to any clients who require these services.

Respite care is available for HIV positive people for up to two weeks. As above referrals must come from your own hospital/clinic.
