HIV

The number of people testing HIV positive continues to escalate annually to the extent that at least one person is now diagnosed HIV positive in Ireland every day.

Sexual Health awareness is an issue of increasing importance in Ireland given that in the decade between 1989 and 1999 the number of notified Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) increased by 314% (NDSC 2001).
